You're absolutely correct that Seagate typically only warranties their recertified drives for 6 months. However, we provide a 2 year warranty on this drive ourselves.
We stand behind all the manufacturer recertified drives we sell with our own warranty coverage, which extends well beyond what the original manufacturer provides. This means if you experience any issues with the drive during the 2-year period, you would work directly with us for warranty service and replacement, not with the manufacturer.
